Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) will be the first airport in the country to get full body scanners and 3D computed tomography X-ray (CTX) machines by May 2024. Other big airports and new ones like Greater Noida and Navi Mumbai will follow suit. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has extended the deadline for the installation of CTX scanners and body scanners due to global supply chain constraints and capacity studies.
