Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Line, connecting Kashmir to the rest of India by rail for the first time. The launch included the world’s highest railway arch bridge over the Chenab River and India’s first cable-stayed Anji Bridge. Two Vande Bharat Express trains were also flagged off, enhancing connectivity and reducing travel time between Katra and Srinagar.
